The Boeing 727-200 was introduced in 1967 as a 20-foot longer version of the earlier Boeing 727-100 to accommodate more passengers, a greater payload and a slightly longer flying distance. Mainly used for domestic flights, the Boeing 727-200 is a narrow-body airliner that was developed to address the demand for smaller aircraft for use on relatively short flights from smaller airports.
